About the song:
This one started out being a tribute to Mike Doughty, former frontman of the band Soul Coughing. I was inspired by his solo track, "Somato" (Atleast that's how I found it translated on a review site... The original title is either in Japanese or Korean characters). The intent was to get a hip, knowing vocal style paired with an extremely simplistic riff, to play off of the type of pop song that seemed prevalent at the time. The lyric started out as a stream-of-conciousness riff on a simple phrase, but developed a mind of its own as it progressed. A different version of this track has been languishing on iTunes and Amazon for a few years with little action (and to be fair, zero promotion...)
